Transport notifications help you identify deviations and exceptions so you can make better decisions.

You’ll need to set up Users prior to setting up Notifications. To create your User Profiles visit this article.
Notifications Settings
From the home page, click Notifications on the left-hand menu. Then click Notification Settings. You’ll see three drop-down menus at the top of the page. This is how you will add a transport notification.
You’ll notice a System Notifications tab also on this page. Clicking on this lets you enable or disable notification types as well as select email preferences.
Notification Types
Select which Notification Type you would like to add. You can choose from:
- Carrier Release
- Customs Release
- Terminal Release
- Customs Hold
- Container Ready For Pickup
- Booking Confirmation
- Verify Copy
- Sea Waybill
- Bill of Lading
- House Bill of Lading
- Importers Security Filing
- Container Discharged From Vessel At Destination
- Container Full Release At Destination
- Estimated Discharge From Rail
- Actual Discharge From Rail
Locations
Select the Country or Port (using UN/LOCODE) that the notification applies to. Or click Global, if applicable.
Once you have selected either Country or Ports, you can enter 2 or more characters into the field which will enable type-ahead and additional selections will appear that match the characters entered.
Delivery Methods
Select which Delivery Method you require (tick as many you need):
- Login Email
- Shipment Manager
- TradeLens User Profile Name
Then click the orange Add Notification button.
Notifications Inbox
This is where you can see current notifications, as well as add a new one. To add a notification via the Notifications Inbox page, click Notifications from your TradeLens Shipment Manager home page. Click Notifications Inbox. You’ll now see the table of current notifications.
At the top of the page, click Add New Notification and you will be able to choose your Notification Type, Location, and Delivery Method, as detailed above.
