What APIs do
APIs are the tiny pieces of computer code that allow digital devices, software applications, and data servers to talk to each other. They’re the essential backbone of many of the services we rely on as consumers.
TradeLens and APIs
TradeLens relies on APIs to send and receive shipping data and content, to digitize and transform trade for the benefit of industry and authorities throughout the supply chain.
TradeLens APIs are all based on REST, and therefore HTTP.
REST stands for REpresentational State Transfer. It’s an architectural style designed for providing standards between computer systems on the web, making it easier for systems to communicate with each other.
