The TradeLens platform has a powerful search function that lets you find what you’re looking for using multiple criteria.

Basic search
Search helps you narrow down your consignment view or look for specific consignments or transport equipment. Basic Search can be used for several different types of identifiers. Click the drop-down to select an identifier type, then enter your search information in the search box and click the Search button.
Some search fields (basic and advanced) will automatically add a wildcard at the field's end. These seven fields allow you to enter the first part of a value, and then Search using by adding a wildcard (*) at the end: Booking Number (Carrier Booking Number), Bill of Lading Number, Origin, Destination, Consignment Reference Number, HS Code, and Transport Equipment Reference.
Advanced search
If you click on Consignment Search or Shipment Search, you will see additional search filters.
Under Consignment Search, you can search for your consignments by:
- References
- Parties and Status
- Cargo Movement
- Dates
- Changes
- Technical References
Under Shipment Search, you can search for your shipments by:
- References
- Parties
- Dates
- Technical References
You can expand or collapse each of the search filters within Consignment Search and Shipment Search by clicking on the down arrow to the right of each filter name. You can also Expand All and Collapse All using the options at the top right of the search widget.
Here are a few examples using some of the advanced search fields. A destination can be used to search for consignments for a specific destination port.
If you want to search for all ports within a country, you can use the 2 character country code.
The Created By filter in the UI will display a list of organization names that have created consignments that your organization has visibility to see. You can use the filter to select specific organization names and view only those consignments.
