From Home page, click on the eBL section. You’ll see a list of eBL documents and their current status. When you find the one you want to surrender, click its Surrender button on the far right of the page.
Click Surrender in opened window if you don't need to add Release Party.
You will receive a message in the same window confirming a successful transfer. The document’s Current Status will change to Surrendered.
Providing Release Party
Optionally you can provide Release Party information. The Release Party would be a third party that is being authorized to pick up the container on behalf of the consignee.
Click Add Release Party.
Click on Release party field. Select the party from drop-down menu.
If the one you are looking for isn’t listed, select New Entry to add manually.
Enter the release party’s name, its address, contact name, email and phone number. Click Next.
Verify provided information and click Surrender.
You will see the same message confirming a successful transfer. The document’s Current Status will change to Surrendered.
Once the TradeLens platform has processed the surrender action and update the blockchain with the transaction, the platform automatically notifies and updates the ocean carriers documentation system with the surrendered status, the surrendering party, as well as, any optionally provided Release Party information.
