Get an overview of everything you can do in Shipment Manager.

Overview
Shipment Manager provides a simple way for analysts and daily users to quickly access information and insights related to their shipments. It will help you:
- Visualize your shipments, consignments, and transport equipment (containers)
- Work with documents associated with each trade object (shipment, consignment, transport equipment)
- Search for a trade object and filter using different criteria
- Analyze each shipment or consignment you have permission to view; visualize all the containers involved
- View the list of events for a consignment or a container
Home
On the home page, you can instantly check the number of active shipments and consignments, from the counters in the top right corner.
Search for a consignment or container using the Quick Search function. Click the blue dropdown and select how you’d like to search:
- Carrier Booking Number
- Bill of Lading Number
- Equipment Number
Then type in the corresponding number in the adjacent white box.
Alternatively, perform a more detailed search by clicking the Consignment Search, Shipment Search, and Container Search options. Once you’ve filled in all of the relevant fields, scroll down and click the Search button.

Scroll down to see your recently added shipments. At the bottom right corner of each shipment, click the icons to view the corresponding consignments and documents.
Scroll down further to see your recently added consignments. At the bottom right corner of each consignment, click the icons to view the corresponding documents, events, and containers.

Notifications
This menu item gives you the option to browse your notifications inbox, where you’ll be able to review all transport and system notifications. You can also review your notifications settings, and add a new transport notification.

Shipments
Shipments are a separately identifiable collection of goods (available to be) transported together from a seller to a buyer, including the shipping arrangements and movement of products including despatch and delivery, regardless of the modes of transport or the contracting/subcontracting relationships.
Review your shipments in the card or list view. In card view, at the bottom right corner of each shipment, click the icons to view the corresponding consignments and documents.
Consignments
Consignments are a separately identifiable collection of goods transported together from one consignor to one consignee via one or more modes of transport as specified in one single transport contract.
Review your consignments in card or list view. In card view, at the bottom right corner of each consignment, click the icons to view the corresponding documents, events, and containers.
Click the arrow in the middle of the card to see more information about your consignment.
This page also gives you the option to download all of your consignments in one spreadsheet. At the top left of the page, below the search bar, click Export Results to CSV. Click OK. It will take a few minutes for your file to download, so stay on the page until it’s finished.

eBL and Actionable Flows
The eBL tab gives you the option to review your eBLs (digital bill of lading documents). To learn more about the TradeLens eBL functionality click here.
You can also review and add new actionable documents.
Account
Depending on your organization and your role, you’ll see different options when you click Plan. For instance, as a consignor or consignee, you’ll just see two options: Subscriptions and User Profile. If you’re running an admin account, you may see multiple options including:
- Organization Management
- User Management
- Subscriptions
- Business Partners
- User Profile
As an admin, you’ll use the first two options to organize and manage your users on the Shipment Manager platform. You’d also click Business Partners to create, edit and delete your business partners.
Click Subscriptions to manage your subscriptions to notifications.

Click User Profile to edit your name, email, preferred language (to receive notifications in), nickname, and webhook URL.
Sign out
When you click this menu item you’ll be logged off Shipment Manager. Click Sign Out once you’re finished reviewing, creating and editing your shipments, consignments and containers. Alternatively, simply close the TradeLens tab in your browser and you’ll be logged out.
